A team of our students supported Empowering Eaglehawk’s 'Family Fun Day' community celebration event at Canterbury Gardens and Lake Neangar in setting up an ever-popular "face-painting tent".

Around 2,000 people attended the event on a perfect Spring evening and our team were kept extremely busy over their three hours of work. The queue continually stretched for 20 metres or so with children of all ages (and a few adults) taking advantage of the free face-painting service.

Our students were great ambassadors for the College and tirelessly painted tigers, butterflies, Batman, Halloween masks and many other design. The smiles on the children’s faces was certainly enough of a reason for us to put the effort  and resources into such an event.

A big thanks to Julia, Amelia, Zoe, Jen, Abbey, Brittany and Jaime-Lea as well as many other students that stepped in during the evening and the commitment of Rae Boykett and Ellen McRae who supported the students and even painted a few faces themselves.
